I cheated. I thought the snail would look nice on a pretty flower, so I kidnapped one from the lawn and put it there. It wasn't interested in eating; it just wanted to get on with what it had been doing originally, whatever that was... I seem to have more slugs in the garden than snails.

My instant reaction to snails is "Get them off of there!" though your photos almost make them look cute -- but they eat my plants!
